Spearcrazy is owned and operated by Captain James Simcic of Marathon, Florida. Captain James was born in the beautiful Florida Keys in the early 1980's. As an original "Conch", Captain James was practically born in the ocean.

Captain James' life was destined to be lived on the water from an early age. As the son of two ocean lovers, James' life began in the water at a young age surrounded by the tell-tale signs of a life lived off the sea. James' father is a second generation Fisherman and showed his son the ropes at an early age, initiating James into heavy situations within the water soon after young James had learned to walk.

As Captain James grew older, his passion for the ocean, fishing and everyday waterman activites surged. With this passion came new avenues that James searched to help him express himself more deeply within the ocean. Once the avenue of speafishing was opened to James, the world became more focused for him intently.

As years past and Captain James was called on to other pursuits including a talent for baseball and an eventual path to college, one passion remained strong in his life. That pursuit, spearfishing, began to enthrall every aspect of James' free time.

After numerous forks in the road, Captain James solidified his path and career aspirations by returning to the ocean to provide for his lifestyle. In the days since that decision, Captain James has emerged as one of the Florida Keys, and the world's, greatest Spearfishermen.

After countless hours in the ocean refining his methods and craft, Captain James is today one of the most technically proficient watermen that you will encounter in your fishing and diving adventures.
